Dressing in the brand or designer you are about to watch sending a new collection down the runway is probably one of the most appropriate things to do during Fashion Week. It is honoring, kind of like paying a little tiny tribute. Being able to do this also is an honor to me, since I am nowhere near being in a position where I could just wear head to toe Burberry to Burberry (ok that did happen once), head to toe Viktor & Rolf to Viktor & Rolf, etc. Changing that much would only be possible with a driver and a blinded window between him and you anyway…
Andreas Melbostad’s first collection for Diesel Black Gold was all about black and white, mostly black though. With his motorcycle leather jackets and pants, and skirts that looked heavily inspired by Sophia Kokosalaki’s last collection for the brand, he did not really show anything super renovating. However his perfectly well constructed clothes did feel like a subtle new vibe that forecasts lots of goodness to come for Diesel Black Gold.
I will show the pictures as soon as I can.
